Bright Country of Thailand

I think it has taken long time the Admin didn't post any topic or writing in this website, but don't worry today I am going to discuss about my favorite country in Asia. Let's red it!

The real praise is only for Allah’s and may peace be upon our prophet, Muhammad SAW.

In this beautiful opportunity, Insya Allah. I am going to present my writing about my beloved country, Thailand. I’ll start by describing about Thailand in general. Then I’ll move on to some unique cultures. After that I’ll explain about Thailand food. Lastly, I’ll summarize what I've presented.

Have you ever visited Thailand?

Well, I am going to explain about Thailand. Pay attention well or you will miss some important things about Thailand, you want really to know.

Thailand – in English or in my mother tongue, Mueang Thai (pronounced meng tai) is the one of country in the Asia, especially in Southeast Asia. It is as same as Indonesia. Bangkok is the capital city. The world “Thai” means freedom and “land” in English means country so Thailand is the freedom country. As we’ve known that Thailand is the only one country in Southeast Asia that was never colonized by other countries, a European power. As well as the first country in Asia to establish diplomatic relations with the United States. It is not surprised, some people say that Thailand is a bright country. People call it as the white elephant country – because this animal is considered as sacred animal by Thai people – and the land of a thousand temples – because there are lots of Buddha worship temples. There are at least 35,000 temples throughout the territory of Thailand.

Thailand is known to have the unique cultures. We can see from the building architecture like some big temples of Buddha, the three highest building in the world, etc. Besides the ancient temples and palaces, Thailand is also a major tourist destination, particularly for their beach resorts. Many cultures in Thailand is a result of its many ethnic growing there and religious factors are also associated with the formation of its culture. Thai culture has been shaped by many influences, including Indian, Lao, Burmese, Cambodian, and Chinese. There is one unique festival in Thailand. It is Songkrang festival. It usually happens in summer, from March to April. At this festival, everyone goes to the road by bringing water and flour then pour them to the people she/he meets in the road even she/he never knows in advanced. If in Indonesia, there is Masakan Padang and in Thailand as well. It is called Tom Yung Kung. The taste is as delicious as Masakan Padang, spicy sour. If you are fan of Nasi Goreng, when you visit Thailand someday you can find it easily but it is known as Khoa Pad. It is the most delicious food in the world next to Rendang, from Indonesia. The Halal food and drink are easy too to find there for Muslim.
